Welcome to the International Jiu-Jitsu Alliance

Picture
The International Jiu-Jitsu Alliance (IJA) was formed in 2008 with the goal of uniting all styles of Jiu-Jitsu to create an elite martial art system that could adapt to the changing times. Since the inception of Mixed Martial Arts in the United States and around the world, martial art styles have had to adapt to a new way of fighting to remain competitive. Martial arts can no longer be tied down to tradition if it wants to survive in the new millennium, remain competitive, and teach the true spirit of Bushido. The International Jiu-Jitsu Alliance was founded with this principal in mind, which is to develop the most effective fighting system in the world and follow the original goal of Bushido. Originally, to achieve Bushido status, one would have to master every element of hand-to-hand combat, which included striking, submission grappling, throwing, self-defense, weaponry, and philosophy.

It is the mission of the International Jiu-Jitsu Alliance to unite all forms of Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and other styles of martial arts from around the world to share information and develop the most effective fighting system in the world through the collaboration of techniques, seminars, tournament competitions, mixed martial arts competitions, and the contributions of philosophy from the best traditional martial arts masters, modern day masters, eclectic martial artists, and world champions of all styles.

It is the IJA's goal to be the best and the world's largest open style Jiu-Jitsu organization. The IJA welcomes all Martial Arts Masters, Professors, Instructors, Mixed Martial Artists, and Students of every martial art systems, which may include Jujitsu, Judo, Free Style Jujitsu, Combat Jujitsu, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Wrestling, Pankration, Karate, Freestyle Grappling Systems, Kung Fu, MMA, and many more.

We welcome all martial artists!
